It’s important to clarify that while agriculture is certainly part of what 4-H represents, such as the cultivation of crops and animal care, it is only a foundational aspect. The organization extends far beyond farming, offering diverse opportunities for young people to explore, learn, and grow.

The purpose of this post is to debunk some of the most common myths about 4-H and shed light on what the organization truly stands for.

Myth 1: 4-H is just a kids’ club.

Myth 3: 4-H isn’t relevant today.

This is far from the truth. 4-H remains as relevant as ever. Myth 4: 4-H focuses only on agriculture.
